St. Maarten Recovery

Hurricane Irma decimated parts of St. Maarten this past fall and many annual visitors have had to change their plans for the upcoming year.  According to the Director of Tourism, the Dutch side of the island lost 70% of the nearly 4,000 guest rooms it had before the storm.  It took months just to get power and water restored to the commercial areas of the island. JetBlue was expected to resume flights from the states in early November, however, a full recovery is not expected until the 2018-19 season.  If you have reservations for the upcoming season, check with the property for availability.
